Andy Mackle

Andrew Mackle is a lead & 2^nd guitarist and has been performing in Bjorn Identity for since 2019. He began playing guitar at the age of 12 and quickly fell in love with music and played various styles before discovering the joy of ABBA. He has a deep appreciation of their music and strives to recreate their iconic sound with precision and passion.

As part of the Irish rock band ‘Million Dollar Reload’ Andrew has toured Europe and the US extensively over the past 15 years and has shared the stage with many rock legends such as Alice Cooper, Def Leppard and various members of Guns N Roses to name a few.

Following 2 year hiatus from music, Andrew began working in musical theatre before returning to the stage working with Musicon Entertainment on The Iconettes & the Hitzvilles, Motown show and subsequently – The Bjorn Identity Abba Tribute Band.

Andrew is a dedicated musician who is not just passionate about his craft he is a “master of his craft”. His superb, detailed musicianship and delivery of it, most notably in his electrifying solo in ‘Eagle’; has allowed the Bjorn Identity shows set list to expand into the deep cut ‘lesser known’ album tracks and live duetting guitars which featured so recognisably on a Abba soundtracks performed by long-serving original guitarist Lasse Wellander. Andy is constantly striving to improve his skills and to enjoys very much being part of bringing the music of ABBA to new audiences across Europe.
